Is WV Governor Joe Manchin A Target In Federal Investigation??

Is History About To Repeat Itself?
by, WV News Staff... westvirginianews@gmail.com
....
WV History shows that every twenty years or so, the US Attorney’s office swoops down on the capital and nabs another governor. According to our reliable sources, Joe Manchin is on the short list to be indicted within the next 8 months.
....
According to those inside sources, Manchin will be the icing on the cake to their investigation into the ABCA Administration’s mishandling and unlawful abuse of rules and state-federal laws regarding the control-handling of alcohol. The federal investigation by the US Attorney just became public knowledge last week with subpoenas being issued to ABCA staff members.
....
As much as state officials and the feds will want to deny the direction this case is going to take, our inside person has admitted this investigation will be trouble for the governor. “Remember twenty years ago how the US Attorney vehemently denied they were after former Charleston Mayor Mike Roark up until the day of his indictment? The same thing is happening here…. you start at the bottom of the ladder and climb your way up.”
....
The only information being circulated at this point is from the state. The US Attorney, ATF, IRS and FBI aren’t saying anything (as they always do early on) except there have been subpoenas issued. Like in the Roark case, the federal government never discloses their true game plan until they’re ready. Whatever it is, you can bet they are well prepared before moving forward.
....
Most likely, they already have someone co-operating from inside providing credible evidence.
....
Can Joe deny any prior knowledge?? Sure he can, but, anyone who knows the governor also knows he is a very hands on person, and not much gets by without his approval or participation.
....
Our source said if the governor is a target, it could be on a charge as simple as, "If Joe is drinking and providing untaxed booze to family & friends, or just knows about anyone receiving liquor out of the ABCA warehouse for free, he could be in real trouble." Then there is the legal term... “he knew, or should have known,” that, rules and laws were being violated could be enough to charge him. And, it will be hard to deny the inner workings of the ABCA since the commissioner reports to the governor.
....
In fact, WV Code §60-2-21 clearly states that: “the legislative auditor shall audit the affairs of the West Virginia alcohol beverage control commissioner and report the results of the audit to the governor.”
....
Could the governor have his own hand in the cookie jar?? In June of this year, our news website wrote a story based on first hand witness accounts about Governor Manchin obtaining free booze for himself, family and friends. It was as simple as writing out a list of what he wanted, and someone would drive over to the ABCA warehouse and pick it all up. This was confirmed by two employees, one in the governor’s office and one in the ABCA commission itself. A link to that story, “Just your average Joe” is at the end of this story.

History On Other Governors Who Have Been Convicted Of Federal Charges.
....
William Wallace "Wally" Barron was the Governor of West Virginia from 1961 to 1965.
....
In 1971, six years after leaving the governor's office, Barron was sentenced by a federal court judge to 25 years in prison after he was found guilty of bribery and conspiracy charges concerning his role in rigging state purchasing contracts while he was governor. He received the 25 year sentence after the jury foreman revealed that Barron's wife, under her husband's direction, delivered $25,000 in cash to him in a brown paper bag to ensure that the jury's verdict would be innocent. Barron's sentence was subsequently reduced to 12 years in prison plus a $50,000 fine. He was later released after serving about four years in prison.
....
Arch Alfred Moore, Jr. was the Governor of West Virginia from 1969 until 1977 and again from 1985 until 1989.
....
In 1975, Moore and his 1972 campaign manager were accused by federal prosecutors of extorting $25,000 from the president of a holding company seeking a state charter for a new bank. Both were acquitted in 1976.
....
But, in 1990, after an extensive federal investigation, Moore pled guilty to five felonies. He agreed to plead guilty after he was told that federal investigators had taped him conspiring with his former campaign manager, John Leaberry, to obstruct the investigation into his activities. Moore pled guilty to an indictment that said he accepted illegal payments during his 1984 and 1988 election campaigns, extorted more than $573,000 from a Maben Energy Corporation, a coal company based in the town of Beckley, and obstructed the investigation.
....
Bottom line,
....
“Sit back and watch,” said another long time statehouse worker. “People will deny Manchin is a target, and how he has done nothing wrong and is being falsely accused. Then those same people will act so shocked when it all comes out.”
.....
***On a side note, it is reported that Manchin rigged the bidding specs for the contract when he re-furnished the governors mansion so only one company could win. That furniture company, is in Bridgeport, WV. We are working on gettng the bid specs and publish them.***

I can only pray that Joe Manchin is caught up in the feds case. Nothing in this story surprises me. And YES, I to think that it is ilegal to consume free booze from the warehouse or other inventory because no STATE or FEDERAL taxs have been paid on it if it is just handed to them at no cost and no money has changed hands. Even the governor cant just take it, drink it and give it away. THAT IS A CRIME NO MATTER HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN GOING ON.

Also, cant wait to read the story on the two men murdered back in 1942. Keep up the good work, you are making a difference!!!!!

Although Joe Manchin and a few of his supporters think that he can do no wrong, guess again people. There are perks to every job, but I don't believe free booze for all is one of them - or is it. Just depends on who you are.

Keep on exposing people for who and what they really are. It takes a lot of courage to do what you are doing. Kudos!

Guess Joe wants this mess cleared up. Too bad he's right in the middle of it. But I don't believe that will ever be revealed. Not only can I smell alcohol, can you smell coverup!!!???

If people have to save themselves, everything gets uncovered.
What happens then? The "love-shove" in jail. Ouch!
